Name: Chef Jon DePalma
Restaurant: 2 Jerks BBQ
Town: Raynham
Background:
2 jerks bbq is a family run restaurant with me, my brother Chris and my father Tom. We offer southern inspired smoked bbq and comfort food. I am inspired by my time living in Tennessee and the flavors and techniques of the southern kitchen.

Q1 What is your first or best memory of cooking and who was it with?
My first memory of cooking wasnt me doing the cooking at all. But Sunday dinners at my grandparents house. They would do a roast and all sorts of canned vegetables.

Q2 What is your most popular dish?
Our most popular dish at the restaurant is our brisket. Alot of of trial and error has gone into it and still today we are figuring out ways to improve it

Q3 What is your favorite dish to make?
My favorite dish to make at 2 jerks is our burger. There’s something satisfying to getting the perfect sear on those ground beef patties. We make a 2 jerks burger sauce that compliments the meat and nothing is better than American cheese

Q4 What do you eat when you are not working/ favorite thing to eat?
When I’m not working my go to meals are typically Asian inspired. I take the drive to Quincy and roam the market looking for products I’ve never seen before. And love to eat at hot pot places. Communal dining is the way to go.

Q5 Person you would most like to cook for (Anyone, including a Celebrity or historical figure )?
The person I would most like to cook for is a tough question. I dont know if I have an answer for that. But I would like my grandparents to see what we are doing here at 2 jerks. I think they be pretty proud

Q6 Favorite Vacation spots, not necessarily food related ?
My favorite vacation spot right now is Disney. Me and my wife just recently went with our new born son Anthony. And Epcot has it all for a foodie.

Q7 Not your own spot, what is your favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant at the moment in Szechuan Gourmet in Sharon. I would love to have my sons baptism party there if my wife will let me.
