Must Walk Plymouth, For Perfect Weather Days

We all know that Boston is one of the best “Walking Cities” in the world. Having visited Barcelona, Moscow, Seville, Helsinki, Quebec, Toledo and St. Petersburg; I, and my feet, can attest to Boston being world class for walking.

However, the sister town of Plymouth, Massachusetts does not get the attention it deserves outside of November. Being by the ocean affords for very Instagram worthy photos and mild weather most of the year. Here is how I like to enjoy a beautiful day.

Plymouth Massachusetts

If you take one thing away from this, visit Plymouth year round! We all know about the great Plymouth Plantation tours and they even have period dinners from time to time, including a wedding reenactment, but Plymouth is so much more.

I suggest parking in the large lot by the Lobster Hut and East Bay Grille, from which there are dozens of great restaurants to choose a place to dine at the end of your walk on the way back. From there, you can walk along the coast, past Plymouth Rick, to the Brewster Garden and follow the path up to The Grist Mill. Lucioso’s Pub next store is a great throwback for a pint. Past the Grist Mill is Town Brook Park, and pond packed with ducks, geese and swans, another great option for parking if you want to start closer to the Grist Mill.

Your Moment of Zen from Brewster Gardens Plymouth.
